With a forecast of cloud and showers, we met at Maukatia Bay for Anna & Jono’s engagement session, only to find this gorgeous golden haze! We spent the evening chatting as we explored the beach, and they truly were the best company. It’s a great privilege getting a window to the love shared between couples, as I photograph them; it took me 5 seconds flat to see that both Anna and Jono are kind, gentle, and very much in tune with one another. Their interactions are effortless, which made them incredibly easy to photograph! I barely had to give any direction, as they cuddled, talked and played through the evening.
God brought Anna & Jono together from opposite ends of the globe, with them meeting at church here in Auckland four years ago (the best place to meet your future spouse, if you ask me!), after growing up in Barcelona and South Africa respectively. God certainly knew what he was doing when he directed each of their lives to merge in such a beautiful way. Anna is a fashion designer and Jono a graphic designer; they’re having a low-key, completely them backyard wedding; and Anna is making her own wedding dress(!!!); so it’d be an absolute understatement to say that I’m excited for their wedding. Bring on November to see these two become husband and wife!
