27th July, 2019

It was the perfect crisp winter’s day for Jonathan & Natalie’s Gracehill Vineyard wedding! Their family and very closest friends had gathered from all over the globe to celebrate this day with them, and there were hints of their heritage in so many details of their day. In particular, keep an eye out for Natalie’s grandmother’s ring which she carried on her bouquet throughout the day as her ‘something blue’, and Jono’s mums performance of a tear-inducing saxophone rendition of Elvis Presley’s ‘Can’t help falling in love’ as they cut the cake… truly, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house!

It was particularly special for me to photograph Jono & Nat’s wedding, as Jono’s sister was one of my closest childhood friends, meaning I essentially grew up alongside Jonathan! It has been so much fun getting to know his now wife and seeing how they complement each other so well now that we’re all ‘grown up’ adults!
These two are laid-back, down-to-earth humans who are all round great company. I’m sure you’ll see that as you look through this little sneak peek of their images!

This locket belongs to Natalie’s grandmother, Irene. It holds a picture of her own wedding day on the 19th March 1955. She wears it around her neck to carry a piece of her husband with her. How precious is that!?

That first married feeling whilst being showered in flower petals cannot be beaten! I love the joy on their faces!
