A week’s worth of prayer by MANY had the rain clouds clear a mere 3 minutes prior to Anna’s first look with her dad and brothers, and right as Jono arrived at their Patumahoe venue, Ginagin. The rain stayed away for the rest of Anna & Jono’s wedding day, despite the forecast, meaning we could make the most of the gorgeous Ginagin grounds for their ceremony and photos!
This wedding day was truly a family affair, with a number of family ties throughout the wedding; Anna’s veil was the very same veil her mum wore on her wedding day, Jono’s wedding ring first belonged to his grandfather, and Anna’s wedding ring was passed down from her great aunt. Anna & Jono are blessed to be surrounded by the most LOVELY families. I bawled through the first looks and again during one of Anna’s brother’s speeches; truly, watching the close relationships these siblings shared was the sweetest thing. Also, you must take note that Anna made her own wedding dress. She’s an incredibly talented fashion designer who creates wedding dresses for a living, so it’s no surprise that her dress is this stunning! I’ve made sure to include more dress detail shots than usual for you all to admire her work; I can only imagine how many hours must have gone into creating it!
It was clear to see how loved these two are by their family and friends. They are gentle and kind and incredibly loving. The father of the bride talked about how Anna & Jono’s life together will be like crafting a novel (with a friend drawing the parallel of Jono’s life being a comic book haha), a beautiful story that has many chapters and twists and turn to journey together. I have no doubt God is writing a masterpiece with this marriage. Lives will surely be changed through the light that Anna & Jono share with those who cross their path.
Anna & Jono, I feel honoured to have documented your marriage. Thank you so much for allowing me to witness your day and the way you love one another, it was a great privilege. Enjoy this first look back on your perfect day!
