Julia was one of my very best childhood friends. We spent hours upon hours together as kids, playing and creating and dreaming. Never in a million years did I imagine I’d have the privilege of photographing her as a beautiful engaged woman, or that I’d be photographing her wedding in just a couple months time. Michael makes such a great match for her, and it’s so special to get to know them as a pair.
We had so much fun moving around beaches and parks in East Auckland where all three of us grew up; starting at Cockle Bay, just down the road from Julia & Michael’s home, and ending up at Musick Point and Bucklands Beach. There was a whooole lot of chat happening between these photos as we took the time to catch up, and a good dose of laughter too.
